long time loan

Hi there i did have loan(i think and don't remember), but i receive the letter about that loan i phone them and they told me the loan is 9yrs old with diff company. What am asking is do i need to payoff that kind of loans, thanks.
Are you for real? How can you not remember if you had a loan?
Regardless, the best thing to do is sign up for a copy of your credit report with Experian or Equifax (remember to cancel after free period) and see if you have any CCJ or judgements for this amount.
If not, the loan should be non-enforcable - it doesnt mean it is written off, jsut that they cant pursue you for it now.0
