If you only cancelled the SIM card and not the contract then yes they can pursue the debt. Did your son give 30 days notice to cancel the contract?0

Hmmmm with all mobile contracts you need to give 30 days notice to cancel, Sounds like it hasnt been cancelled atall.0

have you anything in writing from them?Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0

OP - Did you speak to the cancellations department as well as the lost/stolen department?
If you did not then it is more than likely that the advisor has cancelled your sim card due to the loss/theft and when you have asked if it was all cancelled they have confirmed "yes" as they were talking about the sim not the contract.
To cancel a contract you would have had to speak to the cancellations department who would have thrown some offers at you to try to keep you as a customer. They would also have explained when the account would be cancelled and when the last payment should be. As sporedude said earlier all UK networks require 30days notice to cancel a contract.
Also have you been receiving bills from Voda?0 -
