Iphone 3G £45 tariff? - Reduce it now!

after reading martins save £70 off the new iphone 3G S - i realised he mentioned about downgrading your tariff after 9 months!
I didnt know you could do this! Rang O2 as i got the £45 tariff last year so the iphone was free and downgraded to £35 for 600 mins 500 texts.
Maybe Martin could add this to his email as a reminder!
Hope it hasnt already been done and i missed it!
