So not only have you continued bidding but if he was cancelling bids you will also have won it at an absurdly low price?

    Hmmm

Exactly what I was going to say. How on earth can you expect the seller to honour an auction when they were cancelling bids all day? You were trying to pull a fast one and the seller doesn't feel like being taken for a mug so you're out of luck. End of story.

Yes but it makes a mockery of the so called ebay "rules". A bid is final etc etc etc.
I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

And an honest mistake is just that - a mistake. It's 100% obvious that this was a genuine mistake.

Just forget it and bid on it when it's auctioned again.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

'cept now you've highlighted it here, there may be more people watching it than they would have if you hadn't mentioned it here, and it will only take one of those to be an interested bidder, and you've shot yourself in the foot.
Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!

You deliberately went out of your way to exploit and take advantage of the seller, sniping at the last second so they couldn't cancel your bid. If you wish to ruin their feedback because they are not willing to be stitched up by you then I sincerely hope karma pays you back in spades.

Do the decent thing and leave the poor sod alone.

I am not going any further with it, just wanted to point out another mockery on ebay. Like the one when I had listings pulled for saying "this item is advertised elsewhere and I res the right to withdraw etc etc. They pull my listing, 1000s of others do it and get away with it. It is a joke, they make it up as they go along. I could list more.

Well that's very decent of you and in that case I hope karma pays back your kindness.

If you know a price you are happy to accept use ebay as a shop window, 99p start and wait for the right person to ask a b i n price. Sell off ebay and pull the listing, only pay for the pics.
