New charges claim - confused - Ombudsman or not?

I'm pursuing my charges from when I banked with Alliance and Leicester - account closed about 12 months ago.

A&L acknowledged my first letter but I never heard from them again and as my last letter to them was threatening court I'm now at the stage where I would proceed to the Ombudsman - or court. But the advice page here seems to say that the Ombudsman won't accept any more claims? Is that right?

What do I do - who do I go to for help next, court or the Ombudsman?

No - not in financial hardship but want to get my claim in and logged with someone - court or ombudsman. If I can.

why? if you have the letter from the bank acknowledging your claim then you have what you need.

i put a claim in for charges and my bank sent a letter back saying it was waiting for the courts decision and would log my complaint for the results of the court case, was yours the same? if so then you just have to wait
