Ideas? Cheap family holiday wanted Jan 3rd - 7th

My children's school is being refurbed and so they go back a week later

Would like to go away for 5 days / 4 nights

children aged 6 girl and 3 boy

what would you suggest, and where would you look

all got passports so could go abroad

cheaper the better (as leaves more money for ice creams ::) )

PS In coventry, so easy to fly from cov or b'ham if abroad were an option

loads of low cost airlines airlines fly to Alicante, so Benidorm being an all year resort is an option,weather is mild and lots of family things to do

A Taxi from the airport is 55 euros EW

Accom. can be had at alpha beds,Venere,med hotels etc
