Is living from student loan classed as hardship?

I am a full time mature student living off of a student loan. I am currently back at my parents during my studies to make life a little easier. I also have registered as a sole trader selling pieces of my artwork here and there. The balance of this business was a large negative number due to start up costs etc.
My bank account is rarely out of my overdraft (not a student account). And I have no other income. Would this be classes as hardship?
I got to the stage (could be over a year ago!) of getting my statements from the bank and then the whole thing stopped. Should I write asking for my money or should I have to get updated statements first? Or would I now be better claiming hardship? Any help greatly appreciated...

I don't think you would be classed as a financial hardship case now as you do not appear to have priority debt arrears(ie mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities)0
