do you like to see, as ive seen more and more recently at bootsales, charity stalls not selling anything, but running tombolas. guess the teddies name/number of sweets in a jar, roll dice for prizes, etc?
i think it gives a bit of variety to the day, and a nice atmosphere, and it helps the charoties.

I suppose, but its a bit boring after a while. They turn out good sometimes - At a carnival I went to yesterday, there was a 'Waitrose' stall (Tombola run by Waitrose people - really just advertising their new food range). It was 50p a go and I just wanted to get a can, so asked if I could just buy one but was told I had to enter the Tombola. Anyway, entered it and ended up winning a bottle! :beer:The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

My kids love a lucky dip - 20p a go - sometimes it rubbish but as a rule they have been pleased, things like key rings, note pads, pencils and sweets in the etc. A section for boys and one for girls and a rough age guide on each one helps. I often spend ages browsing the rest of the stall while they try to choose which parcel to take, so it could lead to more sales too.0

I don't like to see charities running Tombolas or raffles at boot sales, I know it sounds mean but I go to boot sales to buy stuff and usually have a limited amount of cash on me so I don't want to waste a penny:D. I'm more than happy to buy things from a charity stall, I often see them at my local boot sale and always have a rummage and try and support them.0
