First Active

I am just about to commit to a fixed rate mortgage with First Active - does anyone have any feedback about them?

Thanks in anticipation,

H.

part of royal bank of scotland - they are OK to deal with. I have placed a few bits of business with them. Have you had advice given on this or is it your own research that has concluded you to them?

I have been doing a bit of online research via moneysupermarket comparing deals. They have offered me a reasonable deal which suits my pocket.

if you are happy with it then go for it. Have a look on https://www.moneyfacts.co.uk at their best buy tables and see if there is anything they mention differently to moneysupermarket.

Most recent one I placed with them was a remortgage,

Appliction to completion less then 4 weeks.

No drama's very easy to deal with.

They seem OK , eager for business rates usually competitive although rarely seem absoulte market leader on rate only - although of course each case is different

I've placed quite a lot of business with them in the past before the became RBSIP and have always found the service fantastic. I once had a remortgage completed in 20 days I was very impressed. The only thing I've fault with with first active is their agreement in principle system. There's been times when I've got an AIP passed and sent applications in, only for the case to be declined or offered below clients requirements on credit score. Thats never happened to me with any other lenders has anyone else had this experience with FA?

First Active have been great with me, and have even allowed me to make a weekly payment to the mortgage to reduce the term (as per another thread that I posted a couple of weeks ago)
They have agreed to let me pay an additional £200 (minimum payment) per week for 12 successive weeks. After that, the agreement must be renewed.
Their customer service is also extremely good.
Overall, I think a good choice.

Sent my completed apllication form and paperwork off yesterday. Got the call today at 1200 that the apllication is successful subject to valuation.

    Well chuffed!

I have been with them a while and cannot fault them.

The only thing I would like though is online account access.
