The Subba-Cultcha questions are sometimes a little ambiguous to say the least and to interpret the true meaning of there questions one sometimes has to apply a bit of logic

having seen that the last studio album was released on September 12, 2008 and that the latest release was The Metallica Collection which was Released: on April 14, 2009

my conclusion was that there studio album wasn't new as it was released last year - 9 months ago

but the Metallica Collection was released only 2 months ago and so I concluded that this was what they may have been looking for I may be wrong I dunno

thinking logically about this again if you where a Metallica fan collecting all of there albums and you had already bought the latest studio album last year then the new Metallica Collection would be the latest album

inicidentally the definition of album according to the Oxford dictionay is "a collection of recordings issued as a single item" and so if you applied this literally to the question then the correct answer would be The Metallica Collection
