part exchange[

We are in the process of part-exchanging our house. Our house is currently on the market. We are hoping to move in within the next month but have still not had any survey done on our house by the building company who we part-ex with. I don't expect a survey to bring anything up but you just never know - and i really expected them to have done one by now.

Anybody had experience of part-exchanging and the process?
now mum of 4!!!

  • We are going through a part ex with Wimpey. They sent a surveyor out to our house about 3 weeks after we started the process. The house was on the market before they did...and sold a day or 2 after the surveyor came.

A family memeber has just part-ex'd with a small building company. They didn't survey formally, they did view. I guess real builders don't need surveys to tell them what needs doing.
