E: 17/06 Win a flight with The Blades (aerobatic display team)

In support of the first UK Armed Forces Day on 27 June, the Ministry of Defence has launched an exciting competition to Win a ‘Flight To Remember’. The prize is an aerobatic flight with The Blades – a formation display team made up of ex-Red Arrows (and recently seen on The Apprentice).

To enter, participants must upload short videos of themselves attempting to perform aerial maneouvres (without aircrafts!). These could be their own interpretations of Blades maneouvres, or aerial displays of their own creation – the more imaginative, the better!

Film it on mobile phone, camera or camcorder and upload it to the competition website (flighttoremember.co.uk). Video entries will be added to YouTube, where viewers will then vote for their favourites.

The closing date for entries is 17 June.

Although the results will generate a laugh, this activity underpins the important message behind Armed Forces Day – a demonstration of our appreciation of the significant contribution the men and women in the forces make on behalf of our country every day.
