Sat Nav - any branded offers?

I am looking for a Sat nav. Was told by a store rep at halfords that Garmin is best brand.

Budget is around £120ish.

I was thinking of the Garmin 210T which has free traffic updates at £110.

Is this a good model or can i do better?

I would not mind bluetooth but dont want to pay lots extra - DAK of any good offers or sales coming up? i can wait a few weeks but really want one for the summer hols.

thanks

Satnaveasy did a good deal, they have a few manufacturer guaranteed refurbs, couldn't tell mine from brand new.

    i quite like the
Garmin Nuvi 660WT at £117.99! Which includes bluetooth & traffic!

Only thing its a 2 year old model.... hmm...is there much difference in the technology from older models to the new ones?

I would suggest that the important feature is the gps receiver, make sure it is SiRF Star III this keeps a lock driving in a city.
Most of these devices are made in china with similar components, if it looks OK I wouldn't bother to much bout the brand, you will get a years guarantee whatever you buy.. The maps do vary but to be honest the world dosent change very fast, (on the other hand many sat navs still dont show the M6 toll road).
The only other thing I would look for is post code entry, but bear in mind that isnt always accurate either,(I once "reached my destination" whilst still on the fast lane of the M4.

seems like a good buy but i am wary of buying "cheaper" brands from past experience....unless anyone can give me some feedback on this one..

My hubby had the Garmin one from Littlewoods or Additions direct and he had a code for £50 of £100 so got it really cheap as it was already in the sale anyway. He uses it for work mainly and he had the 215 i think and is impressed with it too.

We have not shopped with them for some time and they sent it to us. I believe that if you have an account you can use it too as it looks like lots of people got the codes on here. Made it cheaper than the shops for us.
