Hair Clippers - What Grade?

Currently have a set that goes down to grade 1 which I believe is 3mm (grade 2 is 6mm and grade 3 is 9mm). Ideally want to go to next step down as want hair a little shorter. Had a quick look on Argos and the only next available step seems to be grade 0.5 which I believe is 0.8mm. Is this correct? Seems like an odd jump - would have expected it to be 1.5mm????
