Anyone got a Hygiene certificate, and did it help with employment?

I spent last week doing this, seems to me its kinda pointless, still havent been able to apply to any jobs with it, all kitchen jobs are aimed at chefs and stuff like this

I suppose i oculd try waiting etc, but I have no experience so employees really will give an interview to the countless others who have experience.

What type of jobs are you looking for? If it is food preparation then you would need a hygiene certificate. To get some work experience why not contact your local pubs to see if they have anything going?
