best loan that allows overpay?

Hi all, im looking to get a loan in the next month or two to buy a car, it will be for between 15-20K. Because we are in a recession at the moment my plan is to get the loan over a 72 month period so my monthly repayments will be low and each month overpay as much as i can (I have ~£1800 disposable income a month, so technically could be rid of it in about 12-18 months) if i were to lose my job again or something else happen then I would have a couple of months breathing space and hopefully that wouldn't affect my credit history. I have a credit score of 999 on experian so hopefully I would be successful in getting a loan - the papers like to make out that its impossible to get a loan but I think this must surely just apply to people who are bad risks...my question is simple, what loan companies allow overpayments aside from EGG, ideally I would like the best interest rate possible! ive has a look and the only one ive found is EGG

Natwest allow overpayments. I would suggest trying with your own bank first though as the amount you want is quite high.
Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!
    Another 3% shaved off 10/12/08
    ANOTHER 4 % June 09:beer:

thanks, I will check that out. I bank with barclays and they dont allow overpayments by the look of it, in addition I took a loan out with Egg a year or so ago for about 7000 and paid that all off on time etc, so I would think that their internal check of me would be positive? is that how it works?
