Hi,
I have an unusual classic car & the insurance renewal is due soon. Listening to Martin today on Radio 2 I wonder if there might be a way of knocking a bit off of my classic insurance costs?
Many thanks.

Try Aon. The list of contacts is in the top right hand corner.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0

Hi - try https://www.rhclassicinsurance.co.uk and the owners club for the make of car concerned.
If youcan post the make of car you own I can make other suggestions.0 -
Hi & thanks for your replies. The car is a NSU Ro80.

Hi - try Firebond / Sureterm Direct / Footman James /0

I did alright with Firebond, with my Allegros, whoops I've said it! Still very competitive with present large Volvos. They seem to understand classic needs, and yes, Allegros are classics too! Very misunderstood, and underrated.
Didn't think there were many Ro80's left, I wonder if it still has the Wankel motor...0 -
Hi - Aon was suggested and the Dudley office is the classic car scheme handler. Also try Graham Sykes.
Happy rotoring !!0 -
We have managed to play Sureterm Direct and Adrian Flux off against each other when insuring various classics. At one point told us that somenthing like £85 of the premium was their 'admin fee' and they knocked off about £50 to beat the other.
One tip is to make sure you go for an 'agreed value' policy as we were caught out when our first clasisc had a engine fire and the value that they put on it was miles less than the value we put on it. It usually doesn't cost any/much more and all you have to do is send in some photos and fill in a short form. Well worth the little bit of extra work involved!0
