bank charges from last december

heya get my bank statements once a month and they always list on that statement if i have incurred any charges.
Saturday i got a statement that has a charge from dec,jan,feb,march,april on it totalling over 100 pound,can the banks do this??

    hi,not enough information really,but to be honest,if you havent incurred charges for a while before these,you can normally call them and plead ignorant and they'll half the charges if not remove them all. it all depends on how well your acc has been run and who you get on the phone,ask to speak to the supervisor and dont let them off the phone until you get a result.i also like to ask for an explanation for what the charges are to pay for and for a breakdown of how they are used...good luck

    Thanks we use abbey and have a good account,paying off 400 pound from our 2000 overdraft and keeping it down,we have had no charges for a while but these are listed as unpaid direct debit fees.Il do the phone thing and speak to somebody ta xx
