How to enter
Simply use the form below to upload an image and description of an experience you have had in Scotland. This can be anything from hill walking in the highlands, skiing, experiences at the festivals, fishing, sailing to simply being out on the town with friends, cooking and dining experiences, staying in a hotel or walking the dog along your favourite Scottish beach.

Entries must be submitted by the 30th November 2009*

The winning image will be chosen by the public in our online voting system and shall be announced on the 30th December 2009.

Competition Terms and Conditions

All entries for the My Scottish Experience competition on www.thetownhousecompany.com are strictly subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.

1. Entry to the My Scottish Experience Competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or over.

2. Employees of The Town House Collection are not eligible to enter the competition.

3. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.

4. By entering the competition you agree that the photograph and description submitted may be used within online and offline marketing literature for both www.myscottishexperience.com and The Town House Collection of hotels.

5. By entering the competition you agree to be sent information on the launch of the new Scottish online community website www.myscottishexperience.com, which will include log in details for a free account.

6. All entries will go through a strict reviewing process and must not contain the following:
Images of Pornography Images of Criminal Activity Images which may be perceived as offensive to a particular race, gender or religion Images which suggest violence or anti social behaviour

7. Close up images of Children where they can be clearly identified will be disqualified and not used within any literature.

8. Any crowd shots that highlight an individual (not the owner of the photograph) will be disregarded.

9. Photographs may not be uploaded that may infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other intellectual or proprietary right of any party.
10. Photographs entered into the competition can only be submitted once. However there is no limit to the number of photos submitted by one entrant.

11. Unsolicited promotions, campaigns or third party advertising must not be posted.

12. Private information of any third party, including, without limitation, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and credit card numbers must not be posted.

13. Photographs and descriptions should not include viruses, corrupted data or other harmful or disruptive information.

14. The Town House Collection and www.myscottishexperience.com reserve the right to disqualify any photographs they consider inappropriate.

15. Entries must be submitted by the 30th November 2009.

16. The winning entry will be chosen by the public through a voting system on the website.

17. Voters may only vote for a particular image once. Duplicates will not be counted

18. The winning entry will be announced by the 30th December 2009.

19. The Town House Collection reserve the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time

All photographs submitted are subject to validation by our website moderators. The Town House Collection has the right to reject entries which do not adhere to the above regulations or contain any other information regarded as inappropriate.

Main Prize

The competition winner will receive a 7 day ‘Scottish Experience’ Holiday, including accommodation at an Edinburgh Town House Hotel and a stay in Blythswood Square in Glasgow. A full itinerary of Scottish Experiences will be included in the package. The winner will also receive a 50% discount on dining and accommodation at The Town House Collection for life!

THC for Life Membership Conditions

1. Prize includes 7 night’s accommodation within The Town House Collections Group of hotels.

2. Prize includes ‘Scottish Experience Activities’, subject to availability and the time of year the prize is taken. Activities to be confirmed.

3. The holiday is based on two people sharing a standard double or twin bedroom. Should guests wish to upgrade to a superior or suite a charge will incur.

4. Prize is valid between 2nd January and 30th June 2010. Subject to availability.

5. 50% discount is only available from the 2ND January 2010.

6. 50% discount applies to Best Available Rate (Bed and Breakfast) or Dinner Bed and Breakfast) only.

7. 50% discount is only available on accommodation for up to 4 guests (2 guests per room) and restaurant dining for up to 4 guests.

8. 50% discount cannot be used for weddings, events or Private Dining in the events suites.

9. 50% discount cannot be used during the following key dates. Edinburgh rugby dates, The Edinburgh Fringe and International Festival, Christmas Day and the 29th December and 1st to the 1st January inclusive.
