As it says in the title really :D

Sylphraven told me about an offer where you received a free crop a dile with a magazine subscription, So anyway i jumped at the offer, you just cant get enough inspiration from magazines ;)

But now i have this super well talked about tool and no idea what to do with it  I do like tools though :rotfl:

Right so my question is

1) What have you made with yours ?
2) Do you have any pics for inspiration ?
3) What plans do you have to use yours ?

I have 400 eyelets in the set and it came with an ideas booklet which was to attatch a tag through a small metal bucket and that was it :rotfl:

I made a cardboard gift bag scrapbook (see scrapbook thread for pics) with my Big Bite which is the bigger version of the Crop-o-dile. I didn't put eyelets in it though, just used it as a hole punch, it does loads of pages at a time really easily.

Search the net for loads of ideas, try Google or YouTube. HTH.

Here's the pic of the gift bag scrapbook:

I've used it to put pics of my craft equipment in - I've got so much I can't keep track of it! :rotfl:

These pages are some of my 'Clear Stamp' collection:

You use the crop-a-dile to punch the pages.

I love mine, I use it to hold pages that will show any glue by punching through all the papers, vellums, ribbons and then use the colour matched eylets to fix them together. My grand-daughter used it to punch holes round the neckline of a tee shirt and thread cord through. Hubby pinched it and used it on his belt and on wood veneers
anything that needs a neat hole use a crop-a-dile HTH

I've got a Crop-o-dile and a Big Bite, but use the Big Bite far more as I find it easier to use and more convenient as it's got a....erm....bigger bite!

I tend to use mine in cardmaking mainly (although I have put colourful eyelets into the kids' crocs/hats/belts etc) so I punch two holes, insert two eyelets and then thread a ribbon through both holes for additional decoration. Or when I do a 'corset/bodice' shaped card, I punch the holes along the decolletage in order to achieve a laced-up effect.

For my wedding invites, I didn't have the right glue to attach the vellum inserts, so I Crop-o-dile'd the card and folded vellums to attach them with ribbon - it looked more professional than if I'd glued it, I think.

It doesn't sound much - actually, it sounds rather pathetic really LOL - but it does look quite nice and is a special little extra touch to make your cards more personal.
  • Thankyou so much ladies for sharing what you use yours for. At the moment its sat back in its storage box which is such a shame

qwiksave I love your gift bag scrapbook its fantastic. Also a great idea to keep track of craft stuffs. I will have a look on you tube and hopefully that may help. I will have a looksie on the scrapbooking thread too :D

OAP1945 Im going to make a mental note to hide my crop a dile away from my hubby, incase he finds more uses for it than i do ;) I love the idea of putting eyelets around the neck of a t shirt, Great idea.

Minxy_Bella Its not a 'tool' that i would of bought, but since it was a freebie ;) I really love the idea of your bodice card, i bet that looks fabby. I get what you mean about vellums,so i will remember that for future refference, Bet it looks better than glue for sure.

Thanks again for sharing your uses, you have given me lots of inspiration :T

This is a picture of one of my corset cards, so you can see what I mean. It's a bit rubbish as I did it in a hurry (and then forgot to give it to the birthday girl - what am I like???) and I really should have marked where to punch the holes more accurately , but you get the idea...

    Enjoy your Croc'ing! :D
