No word from IPFAS re Penalty Notice

At the beginning of this month my disabled daughter was issued with a Penalty Notice whilst travelling from an unmanned station that has no ticket machine. The previous day an inspector had allowed her to just pay the fare but the second day a different inspector issued the notice saying "you can appeal". Very helpful, not. Daughter has Aspergers and OCD and worries for England. This is the second time she has been incorrectly issued with a Penalty Notice.

We wrote to IPFAS the next day but have not received a reply. On thewebsite they state that they try to reply within 10 days. Daughter starts panicking so I say I will ring them. Google them and end up ringing Dept of Transport in error. Lady there puts me on to another body - Travel for London or somesuch where finally I am given AN O870 NUMBER :mad:

This really rubs salt into the wound. I have asked on the saynoto0870 site for an alternative number but i dont hold out a lot of hope.

Shouldnt it be easier to find their number in the first place though?
