hello
i have a brand new toy that i would rather go to a child who is ill rather than a charity shop (just my view i love charity shops buts this toy cost me 20 pounds and i would rather some one play with it them it be priced down in a charity shop )
can anybody suggest anywhere its a dora the explorer toy.
thanks

How about donating it the children's ward at your local hospital?0

Either that or contact your local hospice and see if they can suggest anyone..A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

i thought about that but i emailed a friend who has been suffering with the big c for the majority of her life (since she was about 9 , she is now 20) and she said that children wards aren't always that good for kind donations as a lot of items get stolen and the same for our local hospice which i struggle to believe people could be so heartless?0

can you wait until you read something about a child in your local paper who you think might appreciate the gift?I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

again i just think once its been in the paper they will get loads of items (just speaking from experience with a few friends) and it will be just another present.0

How about sending it to a post pals child. Each childs page has their story and their favourite characters/toys x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000
There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.0 -
what a lovely idea - how about contacting your local women's refuge and asking if they would like it? They often move with just a small bag and can't take many toys with them0

hey i just phoned the womens refuge and they would put it in a nursery i would rather it just go to one person0

Sorry, I don't understand your rationale.
You feel the need to do a good deed by dontaing this toy, but not to somewhere where many needy children will get the use of it.
If you're that particular about one child having the use of it save it for a birthday present, then you'll be 100% sure that it will only be played with by that one child.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
one child is more likely to look after it properly than it get ruined by 10 children, i would like it to be a toy that the child thinks wow somebody is thinking of me rather than it go to a nursery were its just going to be another toy.
and i dont feel the need to do a good deed i'd just rather it go to a good home and not ruined by a nursery all the nurseries i've been to the kids don't care about.
i gave all the little girls i know one at christmas hense why i have this one left over as i bought one to many.0
