Small Child + Rain in Bristol - Help!

Hi everyone.
My brother, his wife and their 2.5 year old are coming to visit this weekend and we were planning on going out to somewhere like the zoo or Horseworld but the forecast looks really bad and I don't know what to do! The adults are happy with anywhere but what would interest a little one that's indoors? No aquarium or similar around and I think something like @Bristol might be aimed a bit older.
Can anyone help!!!

Pick up a copy of Venue from a newsagent and see if there are any indoors family events on?0

TBH @Bristol will not interest a child that age for very long, so is probably not worth the money (it's expensive for what it is now there's no wildwalk or cinema there any more).
If it is not absolutely pouring down all day, then the zoo has plenty of indoor exhibits and places to pop in & out of showers, and will appeal more to most younger children (in my experience), so I'd reckon that is your best bet.
Hope you have fun!

Thanks for the replies guys.
A couple of people at work have also suggested the zoo so I think that's where we'll be going!0 -
I was going to say the same thing. We went to Bristol Zoo a couple of months ago, and although not raining it wasn't the best weather. There's plenty of indoor / under cover stuff. My son is 19months and he really loved it, there's loads of space for little ones to safely run about and enjoy themselves. Anyway, just take some wellies and have fun splashing about, the 2.5yr old will love it!0

i take mine out even when it wet they love it in all there wet wether gear and dont tend to notice weather, thats more likely me but as long as girls have a good time its worth it.could always make use of time other ways if it is too bad to go out maybe library i know sounds boring but kids love it or just plain old arty crafty activities indoors or park:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

There is always scabby circus for more mundane shops wave out at me my house is just there.
The zoo is great in all weathers.
Top of winterstoke road is there still the soft play place, used to be toprank
soft play also at cribbsLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
Thought about soft play but how strange would that be - 4 adults escorting one small child!!!0

might be a bit of a trek - but we went to weston on a wet day and spent lots of time in the aquarium - which is a bit 'zoo' like but more indoors!
my other thought is cinema - but you can tell i'm not a parent - not sure if 4 years is a bit young for that...0
