Songs for playgroup leavers

We have decided to do a leavers concert at our playgroup for all the kids moving on to school.
What I need are suggestions for suitable songs to be played whilst showing photos of the kids playing/ having fun etc at playgroup.
Any ideas folks???
Thanks J x;)

  • Could you get copies of the kids' favorite nursery rhymes to play in the background so its more of a reminder of their time there, perhaps?
Or were you thinking more of other songs?

Let them be Little by Billy Dean is what we use for the photo slideshow at nursery on graduation day.

We also use The Worlds Greatest, I believe I can fly and Somewhere over the Rainbow (50 first dates version) to be played during the certificate presentation.

We tend to do a little concert of the children performing their favourite nursery rhymes and dances, then we do the certificate presentation along with a "We are here to Graduate" song. We round up with the children singing "Changes" by the Hippets. Then all the children turn around so that they can watch the slideshow too, cue the tissues and me trying to make a speech at the end through wades of tears. This is usually when the manager steps in and saves me the embarassment of babbling through my emotionl state. Then all the parents and children stay behind at the end with the staff to enjoy juice and cake whilst reminising.

Sorry, got carried away there but hope that helps.
