Travel insurance included with home insurance

Anybody got any opinions on the free annual travel insurance which is included as part of Direct Line's Home Insurance Plus?
I'm in the process of renewing my home insurance with them but also need to sort out travel insurance for 2 trips to Europe this year (seems to be cheaper for me to take out 2 single trip than an annual -may be because we have 3 over 18's and 1 under 18)
The HI plus works out at £53 more than the standard home insurance but includes the travel insurance, home emergency (something I'd probably consider useful), cycle cover (won't use) and fraud assistance (only of limited use).
The extra £53 would prove cost effective if it removed the need for me to take out separate travel insurance as it would probably be about £60 for the 2 single trip policies and obviously I would get other stuff included this way. However, I'm a bit undecided as to whether it is comparative cover.
The policy wording and summary is available on the direct line website (sorry can't post links)
The main thing which seems to be omitted from the cover as far as I can see is any personal liability cover
Also my other concern is who it covers? The policy reads to me as though it just covers the policyholder(s) but not necessarily the rest of their family and it doesn't seem to ask for any name(s) etc if you go through their apply process.
Any thoughts? Am I best off avoiding it and taking out dedicated cover?
Thanks

Disappointing to see no replies - I have just been looking at the same policy as I need to renew my home insurance and am also looking at travel cover. Looks as if Direct Line is the only provider to offer such a combination, unless anyone else knows different? It certainly seems to be a much better deal than separate policies, provided the cover is adequate
In terms of who the insurance covers, I presume that for a couple (or family?) living in the same home, if the policy is in joint (couple's) names then the travel cover would be valid for both - or whole family.
Comments from any other reader with experience of this policy deal would be welcome...0 -
On the combined home and travel policies they tend to exclude personal liability as its already covered on the home insurance0

I took out Home and Contents cover with Direct Line last month but knocked back the travel part. The extra cost was about twice what I pay for annual travel insurance and the other benefits no good to me.
If there's a few of you in the house and the insurance covers you all then it might be more appealing.0 -

Thanks, fifeken, that's interesting. My initial back-of-envelope calculation suggested that Direct Line's combined Home & Contents plus Travel (cost £199) would be a lot cheaper for us than two separate policies. The H&C quotes we got were from about £160 to well over £200, and Worldwide annual travel cover for just the two of us (self & wife) is around £100 - includes baggage and money as well as the usual medical, cancellation etc. So unless the Direct Line policy omits some key elements (and I haven't spotted any major gaps yet) it looks like a sensible deal.... I just want to be sure there's no hidden catch!
