HAs anyone had the same problem when asking severn trent how they calculate you monthly ayment for metered water ie
They use the last 2 bills and divide it by 11 for the monthly amount!! and then restart again after 11 months bringing forward by a month each year the recalculation. No payment holiday in month 12 it goes towards the next year
I cant make nor tail of this and when I query get the same answer

Welcome to the forum.
I am with ST, metered and paying by DD.
I have noticed that they do as you state lately. It wasn't always the case - My last payment was Dec 2003 and the next payment March 2004 - so I had a 2 month 'holiday' in Jan & Feb 2004. I also had a 1 month holiday in Feb 2006.
I have no idea why they have adopted their current method, but as long as I only pay for the correct charges I can't see that it matters.0 -
STW are using the same prosess they always have.
The payment plan finishes and is automaticaly recalculated and reset and the information sent to your bank.
The time it takes to get the information to the bank and for them to prossess the information has reduced which is why sometimes but not allways there is no gap between payments.Helping people lower there water usage and water bills

The effect of their 'system' is that the payment at the new rate starts earlier each 'year'. For my account 11 payments each 'Year'
Year 1 = March 2006 - January 2007
Year 2 = February 2007 - December 2007
Year 3 = January 2008 - November 2008
Year 4 = December 2008 - October 20090
