Boiler advice?

Hey guys my heating keeps coming on even when the thermostat is down at zero it comes on scorching hot, the only way to turn it off again is to turn heating and hot water off, which obviously leaves me with no hot water.
I have only just applied for the british gas heating cover this week so don't want to call anyone out as can't afford the call out charge!!!
Any advice?

its a ideal classic lxff Boiler in my kitchen, hot water tank upstairs in linen cupboard and water tank in loft, we thought it may be a valve stuck open? Heating just constantly on and no hot water!!!
Any ideas?
