Anti climbing product

Can anyone suggest something i can paint on my wooden ranch style fence to stop neighbours kids climbing on it.
Can only see anti burglar paint in black or grey but I think that might be too nasty.
I've told them to stop but they don't seem the sort to respect others property.
I even rubbed grease into it but that doesn't seem to have deterred them & the fence is getting weaker.

I used a huge pot of vaseline to stop the kids sitting on my front wall... Definitely deterred them...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Perhaps you could put a load of small nails in the top, this would make it too uncomfortable to climb on, but isn't as nasty as barbed wire.
Good luck!0 -
Hi jinnywren,
I think the vaseline idea sounds good myself ,but could be expensive !!
I would be wary of putting nails etc into the fence ,as you could be sued if anyone gets injured (you know what our society is like for damage claimants )
Is it worth having a word with the parents explaining that "little Jimmy " is weakening the fence by his actions and you wouldnt want to have to bill them for any repairs (or something like that !)

I think you must live the other side of our neighbours. I grow a spiky plant up my fence & trellis0
