Eurostar - cheaper if you are American

I'd cleared out all my cookies & temporary files in IE and went into the Eurostar website where it asked me for my country.
I decided to pick "America" to see what they are being charged these days.
I was somewhat surprised to discover fares from 58 DOLLARS (£30) return for what Eurostar call a "night trip".
The normal day trip price was 90 dollars (£47) compared to a UK price of £59
