we have still not received anything. i have tried looking briefly for a copy of the letter have sent them but cannot see where i put it. i have copies of emails back and forth i sent to the other half's sister to mention to her to do to which i could enclose in the reminder letter to them. Will this be a problem? Cannot remember if did this special delivery either at mo as not been through all of my papers. any tips appreciated.

Deals - can I ask where you wrote to? We had to go all round the houses before we found the right place to send our letter to. We also had a letter saying we'd already received it even though the tax office we spoke to originally said we hadn't. We were then told to quote 'the Error or Mistake Relief Section 33 TMA 1970' (!!) in our next letter and that seemed to do the trick. Mind you, I did have to chase them up and finally received payment on 30.3.09 (issue date 24.3.09).
Let me know if you need any more info.0 -
at the moment find the copy of the letter i sent for some reason but may have been to Scotland . Worried for any reason they will try to get out of us being able to get this. i wrote to an address which is the address apparently we are dependent on according to tax office website up in Scotland. wrote them a letter if i remember correctly rather than send them a form as we are self employed.marybishop wrote: »Deals - can I ask where you wrote to?
