Needing some advice from Gym Instructor and or personal trainer.

I am currently studying for my Gym Instructor exam at the moment and i am abit stuck on some of the coursework. I am needing some help with couple of the different exercises and stretches. If there are any Gym Instructors and/or Personal Trainers around that fancy giving me some help that would be perfect :money:

    Hello

I am not an instructor but I am a regular at the gym and have been for 15 years. I do boxing training, step, spinning and weights (sometimes bodypump). I might be able to help. What is it you specifically want to know?

I think I only know the basic stretches for those areas, which you're bound to know yourself. I often go into the jaccuzi (if it's quiet) to do hams, quads, hip flexors, shoulders etc as I find the warmth and water movement benefits the stretch.

I think you'll have to wait for someone to come along with more technical advice ;).

Hamstring - On floor laying on back, back pushed into floor, tummy tucked in, pull leg back 8-12 secs; relax then go again a little further, and then again the 3rd time a bit further still. Its developmently as it stretches the hamstring.

The alternative stretches for muscle groups are not compulsory, you can do the basic stretches and pass the course, even dynamic stretches as well as the basic static stretches.

    Hope that helped.
    Owed out = lots.
