Disciplinary after resignation.

Hello
I have had an awful weekend. On Thursday I was told i am having a disciplinary tomorrow to discuss serious concerns regarding my contribtion to my team and my performance in my role. Basically I have not enjoyed my job for a long time and am feeling rather negative. I think I am vocalising this a bit to much.
I've had things on my mind regarding money and what not and I've also made a few mistakes, notihng to bring the compnay down or anything just entering a few wrong figures.
The past few weeks have been good since my last chat with the manager, i've tried really hard not to make mistakes and I've shown willing to take on other tasks etc.
On Thursday I was called into a meeting with the manager to say that I will be having a formal meeting tomorrow. I am gobsmacked, I thought everything was going all right. I don't know what this meeting will be about.
I haven't slept all weekend, I feel shakey and I have really bad palpatations. After thinking carefully over the weekend, I'm handinig in my notice. I can't cope with this stress anymore, especially as I have not done anything like stolen the payroll!!
My question is will the disciplinary go ahead tomorrow even though I have resigned my post?
Thanks

I dont think there would be any point in doing a disciplinary if your leaving. You have taken the wind out of their sails!!
You got another job lined up ok?0 -
An agency can fix me up with somthing for a few weeks.
Thanks for asking but i'm not that ok! i don't even want to go to work tomorrow, but then they'll do me for AWOL.
That place has made me a very quiet person now. It's making me ill if i'm going to stay there! In debt no more!0 -

Irrespective of whether you think there is any point to it, some employers will still pursue the disciplinary process during the employees notice period. Equally, some will not. It is at the employers discretion.
loubie_lou, if you are certain that you wish to leave, it may be worth having a conversation with your manager and/ or HR regarding what they may put in any future reference. Some employers will just focus on the positive aspects of your employment, some will simply state your dates of employment, however some will state that you were subject to disciplinary action but resigned before it was concluded. IME most employers are happy to come to a mutual agreement as to what they will state, so best to ask the question. Good luck with your future xGone ... or have I?0 -
If it's not too late, walk in with your head held high and the ACAS standard disciplinary procedure visible under your arm: if they are talking to you about performance issues you should have had more notice, been told what the issues were, and advised you could have a colleague or union rep with you.loubie_lou wrote: »On Thursday I was called into a meeting with the manager to say that I will be having a formal meeting tomorrow. How long have you been in the job?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Stick with it, and find another permanent job first - walking out will bring a different set of problems especially in the current climate.0

...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0
