2 mortgage questions

We are looking at moving up the property ladded in the near future but I have 2 questions if anyone could be so kind....
Small background - we have a 2 bed flat market value 150k current mortgage owing about 90k after 5yrs (from 100k). The first question is if we can aim for what we want. Which is a 200k house or thereabouts. Our combine salary is roughl 40k. We would put 50k from the sale as the deposit. Within the realms of possibility?
The second question could affect the answer to the first lol. sorry. In the first year of our mortgage I was made redundant and was out of work for 9mths or so. We have a couple of AP marks on credit files from this, and 1 or 2 (1) marks. These are 4 years ago though (and we will probably be moving early next year).
When do these marks drop off?? Having had unblemished payment history since, and on everything else (personal loans and CC payments have no blemishes at all ever) - will this affect our abilities to get the above mortgage??
Thanks in advance!

You should be fine with a lot of lenders - make sure you disclose all the probelms in the past to your broker so that they will be able to place with a lender they know will accept you on standard rates.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
