Thanx all.
I will keep MOT as is and say RAC Inspections welcome.
I will get 6 months tax to enable test drives.
I will put it in Ebay as a classified ad with best offer (if thats possible?) and I think I will throw in the tax disc if the car reaches close to my asking price. But I don't think I can add £101 to my asking price to cover the extra expense.0 -
Better to sell the tax at cost, if not, make it very clear what price you will include the tax at.Martin_Knott-Lewis wrote: »Thanx all.

What do you mean at cost? How should I phrase that? Car plus tax?0

Is this true? I haev a car to put on ebay and dont want to advertise it as spares or repairs!!This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0 -
Hi Martin,
Please let me know how you get on with selling on Ebay.
I have Saab 900 N reg to sell and I am also thinking about placing it on Ebay. I think first I try Autotrader and then I try Ebay. Wonder whether the cars sell for reasonable price? I would like to get £650 at least in ideal world for mine... It has 12 mths MOT, 1 mth tax disc and just had full service and new brakes... Anyone knows where I stand better chance of selling?0 -
Yawn...
What a good advert for.... oh I've forgotten already.0 -
Any,
Here's my update-
I've now listed my car on Ebay classifieds. Costs £12.99 and includes up to 12 photos. Lasts 28 days.
I've got a good number of watchers already. Oh and one low offer (two-thirds)which I had filtered to automatically decline.
I only placed the advert today. Will keep you posted.

The car sold on Ebay to the first person to view. No problems at all with Ebay.0

You could still quite easily be buying a wreck if you don't check it over thoroughly.bristol_pilot wrote: »I would never buy a used car without MOT.0 -
put yourself in the place of a buyer. If I saw two cars with a parkers value of 2000 i'd probably go for the one with tax & mot rather than the one without. Look on ebay for other auctions for the same car and see what you are up against. If there arent many then you might be ok, if there are a few then what will make your car sell?0
