    HI there!

If you do have debts that have been defaulted on, many companies will lend you, but the rate of interest is higher, to my mind, a waste of money. Have you paid off your debt then? Got long left?

I got my mortgage with the Abbey, and they minused the 8k or whatever it was then from what they would lend me in total of the mortgage. If Id have waited, they a) would have lent me more and b) i might have got a better property for less.

    Good luck Lynz x

check with the credit references agencies to see what they say about you (it only cost £2

are you still repaying your previous debts?

    are any NOT being paid

why do you need to borrow money now ... (I asume its not for a mortgage). you need to be saving now to show you can handle future debt
