Where can i get chipboard alphabets that don't cost the earth?

I have a big shot but cannot quite justify a decent alphabet set just yet so was wondering if anyone knew anywhere that sold whole chipboard alphabets quite cheap? As i am needing quite a few.

Shell I don't know if you have got anything sorted out yet, but if not it is worth looking on the sizzix website. I know you said that you can't afford an alphabet die set at the moment, but it's often worth looking at their specials as they have some cracking bargains. I've just had a look now for you, and I thought there wasn't any alphas on special (nothing showing in the monthly special) but there are some alphabets on sale:

these are all sizzlit dies, which I think are compatible with the big shot

If you want some similar to the ones in craftgranny's post I noticed that they are selling packs of these in 'The Works' for about £1.50 if you have one near you.
