My brother-in-law, against my advice, has norton 360 on his PC ("It cost lots of money, it must be better than that free stuff").
I'm not asking for assistance sorting it out (doing it via logmein myself) but I thought I'd post a picture of his desktop for you all to have a laugh.

^ I was thinking I could give him my licence for Mcafee (free with O2) and he could have the set.Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

Just out of interest, did you pay for LogMeIn or do you have the free version?
Did you know Windows Live Mesh is also free, but includes some of the features you'd have to pay for with LogMeIn?

I have the free version, which I use for the dozen or so PCs which occasionally need remote support.
iirc the main difference between the paid and free version is the ability to transfer files over the link..not really much of an issue to me, and a hardware monitor?Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
It reminds me of when this happened to me which is funny for two reasons! It made my night.

I'm getting annoyed with it now.
I'm running tests then going and doing my own thing...checking back when the scans have (hopefully) finished!
so far Avira has deleted 9 infections, norton has, of course, gone,
mban removed about 50,
spybot s+d another 9...and it's still there.
I've just popped into msconfig and removed the obvious nasties (plus a load of junk like itunes).
superantispyware has found 16 so far...still scanning!
after this I guess a reboot and hjt...which I might ask for assistance with if I fail
...but I have to cook tea, so I'll be checking back in a little whileUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
