We have tried to stick to £150 budget per week. Out of that we pay for food (£75), petrol (£40), work car park (£4), pocket money for me, OH and DS1 (£10 each). Out of my and OH money we pay for haircuts (except mine - budgeted seperately!), little treats and extra bread and milk ets we may need. We find it very difficult to stick to and most weeks we don't manage it. Usually overspend the 150 by 10-50 so there is contingency built in which we say will be used to pay off debts at end of month if still there, never has been yet!

We seem to have quite a lot of me money compared to others here .£50 a week each

    this covers
OH - tobacco , bird food for his racing pigeons, his clothes and shoes and anything else he needs.

ME - I need cash to use for meals that I take at work while out with my service users but I get this back monthly in expenses which goes back into the bank.My clothes and shoes and any other odds and ends I need.I also save quite a lot of it and have just put a big chunk of it towards a new computer.

Everything else is covered in our budget. We could manage on less I know if we had to.We dont waste it on crap and both try to save as much as possible for big purchases and a holiday.
    Do what you love :happyhear
