My question is can I be forced to work more than 12 hours to get me off benefits completely even if I was just claiming HB/CTB? Would I be making a mistake jumping too soon? what are your thoughts. Thank you.
Thank you.

No, you can't be forced to work more than 12 hours. However, you may be entitled to Working Tax Credit if you worked 16 hours or more, so that could make you a fair bit better off.

Only you can answer that. Personally, I would recommend doing some voluntary work first to ease you back into work, but only you know if you are ready to go straight in at the deep end.
