I am soooo excited. I have my complete wedding outfit hanging up next to me now, and I am so pleased with it. It's not what you'd call traditional....A dark green tartan burlesque skirt and a tight lace corset, but I look lovely in it (if you knew me, you'd know I've never said that about myself in my entire life).
I'm pleased that I'll be able to get wear out of it afterwards, and it didn't break the bank either (and not least of all that my size 16 body now has a 28" waist!!).
Oooh I wanna try it on again!!

I wish I knew how to put a pic on here. It was made by a lady in Dorset. The website is qualityalterations.co.uk My corset is the dark tartan one in the corset gallery, and the skirt is long fishtail shape and matches it. I would definitely recommend the dressmaker! I can't believe how much like a girl I look in it!! hehehe0

Wow, it's certainly not 'traditional'..but who cares about traditions, it looks amazing - I bet you will look fantastic in it :jCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I'm not a 'dressy' person, but that's gorgeous - and different - but a good different if you know what I mean.

I did look at having a more traditional dress. but they just weren't me. Not that I'm goth in style either, but with the bouquet of burgundy roses + thistles, and tartan bow, it just goes. My daughter is wearing a burgundy 50's style bridesmaid dress, and again, it sounds a weird colour combination, but it goes!
If nothing else it'll shut my future sister in laws up!! Especially the one that got me size 24 pyjamas last christmas.....cheeky mare!0 -
I didn't realise it was your wedding dress! Congratulations. Bet you'll be stunning in it.0
