Hi,

I fully understand how
“Your basic extended family today includes your ex-husband or -wife, your ex's new mate, your new mate, possibly your new mate's ex and any new mate that your new mate's ex has acquired.”
~just about sums it up~

I fully understand how difficult these type of problems can be - but sadly many people have no idea.

It is illegal for an employer to discrininate on the ground of disability and these type of problems can count as a disability.

You need to get professional advice. Your house of car insurance may provide legal advice (worth checking) otherwise try ACAS or the CAB.

There is a great deal of information on employment law on the net. For example it is worth looking at BusinessLink as this site addresses the problem from the employers side.

Hi, It looks as if I may have to stop work due to my hental health problems. I don't want to, but my employer is not being very supportive and is looking to dismiss me. This has added to my stress and I now feel my sanity is hanging by a thread, and I need to put all I have left into my family.

    Could I consider a sabatical?

I am not entitled to company sick leave, but believe I should get SSP. What happens at the end of that? (My partner works full time, so we wont be entitled to income based ESA) Will I be entitled to Contributions based Esa (After having SSP)

I hope it doesn't come to this... I want to work, but genuinely can't at the moment.

If you have paid enough NI contributions in recent years (the CAB website has details) you will be entitled to claim ESA contribution based. You will need a sick note from your Doctor to begin with and are likely to have a medical assessment to see if you can continue the claim.
