Hi, Has anyone heard of this website, www.bookinhotels.com? They seem to be very cheap on a hotel near Cape Town that I'm thinking of booking, alot cheaper than anyone else which makes me a bit cautious. I was just wondering if anyone had heard of them, if they were a good and legitimate site?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

been on the site, you have to be very cautious as there is a lot of companys out there who just take your money, I would be carefull
There isnt any financial backing by booking the hotel on this site, they are not a travel agent or have any financial security, what was the hotel and how much was the rates
Thanks

It's the Lord Charles in Somerset West. They are offering rates of £39.01 per night, whereas the hotel website is over £100 per night and lastminute.com is £88 per night. It did seem a bit too good to be true!0

Whatever you do, NEVER book with this company Bookins Hotels. I've recently had a very bad experience with them, they are completely incompentent and useless and provide exceptionally bad customer service. I've been one of the lucky ones to get a full refund whereas some have not been so lucky.0

Hi, I have heard of them, and used them, or tried to use them.
I bought tickets to see U2 in cardiff, and tried to book a hotel room for the night, lastminute, laterooms etc were quoting £200+ for a room only deal in any hotel in Cardiff, after scouring the internet, bookinhotels.com came up with a price of £108, yes, it's a big difference, and I should have been sceptical, but I have stayed at the Park Inn in cardiff before, and that is within their normal price range, this is where it goes horribly wrong, I booked and paid for the room in March 2009, the concert was on August 22 2009, I got an email on 18 August, stating that 'due to a financial issue between our suppliers and us, we are unable to confirm your booking', was I happy? No! I got straight on to the phone, spoke to somebody in Istanbul, who confirmed this, and told me I would have a refund in 7 working days, that passed, I rang again, and was told it would be 15 working days from cancellation, that passed, I rang again, and was told it takes up to three months after cancellation!!! I said to the 'lady' on the phone, 'looks like i'm never going to get a refund am I?' she said 'well I am always here to take your call, just keep complaining' !!! I tried ringing today, and the phone number will not connect!
I have resigned myself to the fact that I will not get a refund, and my 'bargain' hotel booking actually cost me £333, not the £108 I thought it was going to cost me.

I just tried to book a hotel in Berlin with them. They had a featured hotel. When I entered my details the results said to try again as they had no information on that hotel. That alone is enough to warn me about using that site.
If you still need to book a hotel try www.hotelscombined.com. I always use that site as it brings up all the other hotel booking sites and compares prices. It is worth a try.0
