when do you have to do a renewal form, do they send forms out to you, what happens if your income is lower for 2008/2009, does the amount change. or does it go on 2007/2008

You can renew over the phone but only after they have sent you the forms - I think last year I didn't get mine until June?!

If you're income is expected to be lower this year then you can tell them anytime and they can base it on an estimate....

Your renewal has be completed either on paper or over the phone by 31st July 2009. You will be expected to declare all your 2008/2009 taxable income. It's best to be aware that it's probably better to send the paper form by recorded delivery and if you chose to try to renew over the phone you're going to find it difficult to get through as the deadline approaches.

The renewal packs are sent out according to need so those on benefits generally get theirs first.

If the renewal is not done on time the claim will be terminated, you will be asked to repay all the payments you received up to the date of termination and you will have to make a fresh claim.

got mine second week of april last year and we aren't on any benefits. Rang through the figures the same day. All calculations and changes was then made 2 weeks later.
