I was minding my own business this afternoon when there was a loud knocking on my front (side) door, I just got there and there was a knocking on the conservatory door on the other side of the house, when I finally caught up with the guy, he was selling double glazing.
I asked him if recognised DG units and he assured me he did but he had walked right round my house and knocked on 2 out of 3 of my DG doors. He said "Do you have anymore windows?" Hello, where would I have hidden them do you think? "No" I said " all our windows are on the outside of the house". At this point he realised he was wasting his time, not to mention mine.
So Safestyle UK please train your sales teams to recognise houses that have DG and ask them not to annoy people with stupid questions especially on a Sunday.

Just after we'd had our DG fitted , a Safestyle salesman knocked on the door and even after i'd told him we'd only just had new DG put in he still kept on with his sales patter. My next door neighbour , who happened to be stood outside , told him in no uncertain terms that he was wasting his time and to do one :TSame old same old since 20080

Someone knocked on my door selling double glazing, so I pointed out that all the windows were already double glazed.
I've got a brick built porch with a sloping roof that fits in with the style of the house. He then advised I should have that knocked down and replaced with a PVC one
I shut the door at that point! Here I go again on my own....0 -
My Mother in law had a strange one. She had new DG fitted and was approached outside her house by a salesman who was co incidentally from the same company. He proceeded to give her the hard sell and even when she said the DG was newly fitted he started trying to 'rock' the front door and tell her it was unsafe and his company should come and replace it for her together with the side windows he thought looked 'wrong' as well.
She took his business card and thanked him and told him she would phone the company and tell them that one of their salesmen had just called and told her that her brand new windows and doors, fitted by them were unsafe and needed replacement. She said he went very very pale...

Just remembered the burglar alarm man who knocked on my Dad's door!
He said the alarm was guaranteed, so my Dad asked "does that mean if I buy your alarm, you'll guarantee I'll not get burgled?"
The man said "no I didn't mean that"
So Dad asked "aah so you're saying if I buy your alarm, I'm going to get burgled anyway?"
The flustered man said "no I didn't mean that either"
Dad had the poor bloke tied in knots by repeating the above statements :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0
