Any slimming aids worked for you?

I have just started using http://www.naturalwayhealth.co.uk/maxislim.php and it so far is working for me. I have lost 1/2 stone with this.

Has anyone used this one or any other slimming aids that have worked for you? How much weight have you lost with the slimming aids.

Tried loads of them and none have worked . They're not meant to, otherwise there wouldn't be so many on the market and we'd all be slim! More importantly, you can't be sure what they contain and they could well do damage if used for a long period.

By far the best way to lose weight is to watch your fat intake and/or calorie count and do more exercise. You have to expend more energy than you're taking in, i.e. work off those calories. Not difficult once you're mentally prepared and get into a routine. It's also the cheapest and healthiest way to shape up.
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

Well, I am a sucker for a gadget....and I bought the LipoContour pants after seeing a 'wow' review in the Daily Mail. They are not cheap. Designed by a plastic surgeon, they compress and massage the bum and thigh area which is where I find it hard to lose fat. I am not on a diet - but cut out alcohol, and walked everywhere for the first month after getting these and I couldn't believe it - I seriously lost half a stone very quickly. (I also take green tea supplements which help to curb my appetite for sweet things.) I have since lost more weight, and am back down to my comfortable weight of just under ten stone. The thing is...I have lost it in all the right places. Not off my face (I look gaunt enough) but off my hips, thighs and stomach. Cellulite is gone too.

I've now got three pairs - one on, one in the wash, one spare. (They have to be handwashed.) OH says they are the best passion killers he has ever come across.

You can get them on eBay slightly cheaper.

Be warned before you click....they are not exactly the most alluring pair of pants you have ever seen but don't let that put you off - as far as I am concerned, they do work, with sensible eating and exercise plan.

Losing weight is science pure and simple, you can't spot reduce.. personally i carry weight in my thighs and !!! but no gadget short of lipo is going to change that.

I concider myself a professional dieter in that i'm a figure althete and i spend my life counting the nutrients in every item that pass's my lips.

Losing weight is science, pure simple... if your maths is bad then it all go's wrong, certain supliments can help lose weight there are various ones that i take when i need to shed the pounds to become competition fit, but NOT ONE of them is worth a penny unless my diet is 150% PERFECT.

I think to many people look for the drug thats going to change your life, make you slim, the truth is there isn't a single drug out there that will help you lose weight if your diet/exercise is bad.

I spend a small fortune on suppliments to help me get competition fit.. with 12 weeks till walking on stage EVERY little bit helps, but even with £20 worth of supp's floating around my body a day.. 1 cream cake would wipe out all the good they do.

there are lots of gadgets and drugs out there most of them are designed to just get your money and even of those that work they can't match the power of a good diet.

I agree with leiela. It is simply calories in<calories out. Steph998, it could be that the walking, cutting out booze, green tea and eating less sweet stuff has made you lose half a stone, not a pair of pants!!! :D
