hi i have just seen in Tesco's that they have reduced the price of their simple glass jars (with pale blue lid, about 1 ltr) down to about £1.75 or so. I think the offer is on until 22March but i need to get 4! when i saw the yellow ticket there were none left! anyway, i saw them with the other kitchen plates, dishes etc.

    hth.

I keep and reuse the lovely jars that come with coffee, Dowe Egberts I think, they have a wonderful glass airtight lid - there are two sizes, and often on offer.

This isn't the cheapest coffee available, but if I need a jar, it is far cheaper than buying an attractive jar *and* a jar of coffee...

Reusing jam jars and coffee jars etc is the cheapest.

Ikea do lots of different storage jars and tubs, have a look on their website.

The Dowe Egberts jars are nice (I kept one or two in the back of my cupboard, they are too nice to throw out), but not very big, but great for smaller bits.

    I second Ikea as well.
