Just come back from hols and have taken loads and loads of photies on digital camera. I would dearly love to print them off for Grannys/Nannys but where will I get the best value/quality ? Can I take the memory card to wherever and get them printed there and then , or do I have to wait and collect in a couple of days ? Sorry all this is new to me ......Thanks

Tesco, Asda and Boots all have machines that you can slot your memory card into then you can look through and pick the ones you want printed out. I guess it depends how many you want printed and how busy they are as to how quickly they are ready.
I have used Asda for a couple to be made into small calenders and they were ready by the time I had finished shopping.0 -
Daft question but what sort of price would I pay per print???0

Last time I was at Asda they had 500 prints for £5

kodak/photobox/snapfish etc offer 30 prints for free when you register, search for online photo printing and spread your order!0

I too like Edinburghlass have found that the counter service at ASDA is excellent. You can print all or select the just ones that you wish and even zoom and crop from your original shots.
Prices vary depending on size and quantity but for 1 - 49 6"x4" = 15p and 7"x5" = 20p. For 100 - 149 the price drops to 5p and 10p respectively.
I know someone who had 150 6"x4" prints done, to hand out as advertising flyers and these cost only £7.50 on a next day service.

Hello again , I just had to report back seeing as everyone was so helpful .
I decided to take a chance and popped down to our local Tesco and did my dippy woman routine and asked the nice young man to help me. He did all the stuff (gosh it was easy really) and then charged £7-50 for 150 prints which I thought ws quite good. HOWEVER when I took them home I noticed that not all the pictures had been printed so I went back did my dippy routine again and LO got the extra prints for FREE , and an idiots guide on how this stuff works !!!
I am very pleased indeed , well done Tesco .0 -

Funny I went past the machine in Tesco last night and wondered if you had got your prints done!
I have to play the dippy woman in Asda because the machine is set just slightly too high and I find it difficult to use myself but I have to say the assistants in Asda have always been very helpful and know what they are talking about.
I'll try Tesco next time though as I notice their machine is at counter lever which will make it easier for short people0
