downloading music to phone..

:eek: :eek: Hi, I've had very good advice from this board before and I would be grateful for advice on another matter. I recently bought an LG KC550 phone from Tesco, I downloaded software to computer and went through the process of the connection wizard, at this stage the computer acknowledges the phone but the phone does not acknowledge the computer. When I go to download my music the computer says phone disconnected when it is still connected by USB cable. It does say on the phone instructions to download bluetooth to bluetooth but that doesn't seem to work either....Please can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, Thanks Shrewdal

    Have you switched on the connection on the phone? Most phones I have had require the phone end of the connection to be 'switched on' just like you switch blue tooth on and off.

    Thanks Spiro for your speedy reply. I have followed phone instructions for downloading music and it dioesn't say anything about switching on a connection , it just says connectivity should be bluetooth and that was switched on :confused:
  • Have you paired the phone and PC up?

    do you have a bluetooth adaptor plugged into the computer?

    if you don't, then the bluetooth method will not work.

    Is there an option in the connectivity menu(s) of the phone for either USB or a file transfer mode?

    Hi Gaming guy thanks for your help. The computer does not have a bluetooth adapter so perhaps that is the problem. I have been trying connectivity with the USB cable , with the bluetooth turned on and then off and the computer still does not connect to the phone. I can't see file transfer on the phone. I would be grateful for any further advice. Regards Shrewdal

    If the USB connection won't work, buy a bluetooth dongle for your PC and try that. In the past it was the only way I could connect a Nokia phone with my PC.

    Hi Dreamline thanks for your help. I have discovered I have a wireless usb adaptor, does this work the same way as a bluetooth dongle...thanks to anyone for a reply. Shrewdal;
