Can Daughter Draw benefits

Just a quicky. My daughter got made redundant yesterday. She's been working part time in a well known ladies fashion shop that went bang on Monday. They've said if they can't get her a job elsewhere (as if) they'll give her a weeks pay, which is fair enough. She's going to Uni in September can she claim any benefits if she doesn't find another job.
