Problem purchasing from Argos Website

Hi there.

I am trying to purchase a PS3 from Argos and apply for the Argos card with buy now pay in 6 months.

I get to the screen where it asks for your employment details and when I press continue I get a page which says "sorry we've had a problem with the link you've just selected" and something about my browser not accepting cookies.

I have tried this 6 times now and I can't seem to place the order.

I've tried clearing cookies, restarting the laptop and tried 3 different browsers (Firefox, IE and Chrome).

Any suggestions?

Just go ini store and apply. Problems probably with their site. You can also apply for a homebase card and use that in Argos. But the APR for both is 27.9 percent so make sure you dont give them the chance to defer interest.

From your browser, click tools, internets options, security, put the slider down to the very bootm, click apply and try again.

Discovered what it was. It's because I put my employment in as part-time. Re-done it in husbands name (full time) and it went through.

Although it never actually went to the application stage. I hope it's not on my credit file, because I did it more than once.

Also we've had the confirmation email about being accepted for the card, but no confirmation about the order yet and there's no way that we can log in to see if it's there. I know the order when through though, it confirmed delivery date Sat 28th Feb.

I hope it's gone through.
